When changing direction foward/reverse and vise/versa a clicking noise comes from the from the wheel area. Any ideas what it could be anybody? The cars just been MOT'ed and showed up no problems. Its a v70 2.4 170 estate manual. Thanks.

This is quite common and nothing to worry about. It is caused by the play in the driveshaft and hub splines. The official 'cure' is to loc-tite (or similar 'special' Volvo stuff) the shafts into the hubs. From my experience this does not last long and if it does work and then you need to take them apart for repair it can be a pita. Paul.
