Hello, Not been on for while, I've got a 2000 V40 T4 and sidelights don't work, traced it down to CEM thats faulty and not powering lights up even tho its clicking, Now am not paying out for a new CEM and i just wondered if they were interchangable with others, if i got one from a scrappers from another car, I know they do a right lot on these cars as it starts and runs etc with it disconnected etc,

Provided it's the same part number it should be a straight swap. Had to change mine on the old V40 a couple of years ago. Mine lost side, tail and fog lights. Got one from Salvo IIRC. Just swapped units over and all was OK. HTH Cheers, Tel.

when changing the cem in the later ph2 cars, make sure you get one from a car that had front fogs if you have them otherwise your front fog lights wont work and will have to get the dealership to programme it
